The Fearless Flyers Release ‘Three Basses’ Single

The members of The Fearless Flyers go heavy on the bottom end for new single “Three Basses.” The track appears on The Fearless Flyers III, an album from the Vulfpeck offshoot that is available for pre-order through the Qrates crowdfunding platform.

“Three Basses” features Joe Dart, Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri dueling on three different models of Dart’s signature Ernie Ball basses while drummer Nate Smith works over a particularly funky beat. With each Fearless Flyer listed as composers, the groove seems to have developed out of a spontaneous jam.

The Fearless Flyers III has previously been previewed with the tracks “Patrol Acrobatique” and “Running Man.” Still to come from the set are “Reelin In The Years,” “Flyers Funk” and “Vespa.”
