Singer-songwriter Faye Webster released her first new single in two years, “But Not Kiss.” Webster also confirmed 2023 North American Fall Tour dates.

“But Not Kiss” follows Faye’s 2022 EP, Car Therapy Sessions — featuring orchestral reworkings of originals from her catalog — and the 2021 LP, I Know I’m Funny. Although no release date or title have been revealed, Webster shared that “But Not Kiss,” “says a lot about what’s coming” and a press release noted the singer-songwriter is working toward another full-length album.

The new single sees Faye exploring the contradictions love presents. “I think it could be a really romantic song or a really anti-romantic song,” Webster said of “But Not Kiss.” “It’s something I’ve looked for but struggled to find in other love songs, for them to describe this conflict or contradiction.”

“But Not Kiss” arrived with a music video captured at Los Angeles’ renowned Bob Baker Marionette Theatre and directed by Kyle Ng of Brain Dead. Watch below:

Faye Webster is also set for a North American trek this fall. The tour gets underway on October 17 in Washington D.C. Additional East Coast dates include Boston, Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

Following a concert in Toronto on October 27, Webster will head through the Midwest with stops in Chicago and Minneapolis. A West Coast stint gets underway on November 2 in Seattle ahead of shows in Vancouver, Portland, Oakland and Los Angeles.

Faye heads back east with a concert in Phoenix on November 10 followed by a swing through Texas with shows in Dallas, Houston and Austin. Webster concludes her fall tour in her hometown of Atlanta on November 17.
