Father John Misty Dedicates Somber Low Cover To Mimi Parker

Father John Misty began his encore on Tuesday night by covering Low’s “In The Drugs.” The solo acoustic performance by Josh Tillman was dedicated to Low’s Mimi Parker, who recently passed away from ovarian cancer.
Tillman preceded the Low cover by mentioning how important the band was to him. “In The Drugs” appeared on Low’s 2002 album, Trust, which was one of 13 released by the band co-founded in Duluth, Minnesota by Parker and her husband, Alan Sparhawk.
Father John Misty is currently touring South America. Tuesday’s concert was held at Cine Jóia in São Paulo, Brazil. Watch the touching cover of “In The Drugs” in honor of Mimi Parker below:
