Father John Misty Performs ‘Buddy’s Rendezvous’ On ‘Kimmel’

Father John Misty (Joshua Tillman) took a break from his summer tour to appear on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Tillman performed “Buddy’s Rendezvous” backed by musicians in his touring band, including its string section.
“Buddy’s Rendezvous” is featured on Chloë And The Next 20th Century, the latest studio album Tillman released under the Father John Misty moniker. Lana Del Rey covered the song for inclusion on a deluxe vinyl box set of the album. Produced by longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson, Chloë And The Next 20th Century arrived on April 8.
Tillman and the ensemble he put together delivered a smooth, brassy and string-infused version of “Buddy’s Rendezvous” on Kimmel. Watch how it went below:
