Fans Asked To Line Motorcade Route To Honor Gregg Allman On Saturday

While Gregg Allman’s funeral on Saturday won’t be open to the public, fans can still may tribute to the legendary musician as per a request from Gregg’s manager Michael Lehman. Fans have been asked to line a motorcade route between Snow’s Memorial Chapel on Cherry Street and Rose Hill Cemetery on Riverside Drive in Macon according to The Macon Telegraph.

The paper reports Gregg’s family-and-friends-only memorial will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel. “The family is hoping to keep this between 75 and 100 people,” Lehman said of the private affair in which attendees are asked to keep it casual. “No suits,” Michael added. After the ceremony, Gregg’s body will be driven to the Rose Hill Cemetery at which point he will be buried next to two other co-founding members of the Allman Brothers Band – Duane Allman and Berry Oakley.

Gregg Allman died on Saturday after a long battle with liver cancer.
