The surviving members of Faces reunited on Tuesday night for a performance at The BRITs award ceremony. Vocalist Rod Stewart, guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and an orchestra teamed up for “Stay With Me” at London’s 02 Arena.
Faces formed in 1969 out of the ashes of Small Faces. Stewart, Wood and Jones were joined in the band by keyboardist Ian McLagan and bassist Ronnie Lane. McLagan died in 2014, while Lane passed away in 1997. The trio last reunited in 2015 for a performance at Stewart’s 70th birthday and at a charity event. “Stay With Me” was originally released on the 1971 album A Nod Is As Good As A Wink… To A Blind Horse and was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.
