Roots & Groove features many special guests including Andy Hall on dobro (Infamous Stringdusters), Andy Thorn on banjo (Leftover Salmon), Grammy Award winner John Macy on pedal steel and Bill McKay on piano (formerly of Leftover Salmon, Derek Trucks Band).
“I love this video but it makes you think,” says Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth who produced the band’s album. “We went for a ‘vintage’ sound on this cut. Wouldn’t it be nice if the sentiment of the song was ‘vintage’ too. Unfortunately ‘Dear Mr. Bankman’ could be sung by many family farmers today with the same conviction Patrick sings it here. This is a fun video about a not so fun truth. Great job guys!”
