By Scott Bernstein Jun 28, 2016 5:25 am PDT

Colorado funk act The Motet will release Totem, a new studio album produced by Eric Krasno (Lettuce/Soulive) on July 8. Earlier this month, the band launched a new video series dubbed Conversations With The Motet in conjunction with Punching Mule featuring members of the band discussing their instruments, musical influences and the new LP.

The fourth installment of Conversations With The Motet finds one of the group’s newest members, saxophonist Drew Sayers, talking about the current status of The Motet, his excitement in joining the band, what the saxophone contributes to funk music and more.

A pre-order campaign for Totem is currently underway via the group’s Bandcamp page. A variety of packages are available including a CD signed by all members of The Motet.
