Let It Be – 1984 style
Entertainment Weekly has put together The Indie Rock 25. The list is described as “the adventurous artists and albums that defined each year from 1984 to the present outside the major label sphere, from the Replacements to the Pixies, Pavement to Modest Mouse, and the White Stripes to Radiohead.”

The list begins with Radiohead’s In Rainbows for 2008 and runs backwards to The Replacements’ Let It Be in 1984. Sure to cause contentious arguments, the list is well written and makes a lot of good points about the influence and value of rock artists to make their mark in the past 25 years.

While hanging around their entertainment enclaves you may also be amused by Acts of God: 12 TV/Movie Jesuses or Tricks of the Trade: 25 Hollywood Hookers.
