Conductor Matt Butler will present two special Everyone Orchestra shows at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pennsylvania on December 8 & 9. Butler will lead two “Everyone Loves Ardmore” lineups, will be supported by different opening acts and will incorporate elements of Grateful Dead music into EO’s usual improvisational mix.
On December 8, Everyone Loves Ardmore will find Butler leading guitarist John Kadlecik, Ween drummer Claude Coleman Jr., Disco Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner, moe. guitarist Al Schnier, Pink Talking Fish bassist Eric Gould and TAB vocalist/trombonist Natalie Cressman on one set of “Everyone’s Dead” and one set of EO improvisation. Butler will also join in on drums as part of “Everyone’s Dead,” while Hezekiah Jones will open.
The lineup on December 9 will feature Butler conducting Coleman Jr., Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins, the Disco Biscuits bassist Marc “Brownie” Brownstein, Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, Schnier, Cressman and vocalist Nik Greeley. Kadlecik will perform an “acoustielectric” set to open. A separately ticketed VIP pre-party will find John K. performing songs off Jerry Garcia & David Grisman’s acclaimed The Pizza Tapes, with beer and pizza included in the ticket price.
