Eric Krasno To Guest With The Motet In New York City
Colorado funk act The Motet are gearing up to return to the road as they kick off the final leg of their Spring Tour next week. Today, the band has revealed that guitarist Eric Krasno of Lettuce and Soulive fame will join them during the tour’s stop in New York City.
The Motet will play the Highline Ballroom in the Big Apple on Thursday, April 13. Kraz is aboard as a special guest, while CDM act Reed Mathis and Electric Beethoven will support. “It’s always a blast getting to hang and get funky with Kraz, but it’s even more special after creating our last record, Totem, with him!” singer Lyle Divinsky said about their first live appearance together since the album’s release. “I can’t wait to see what kind of magic will unfold in the moment, and can’t wait to share it with our incredible friends and family in NYC!”
Up first for The Motet is a tour opener at The Warehouse in Fairfield, Connecticut on April 12 featuring support from West End Blend. Following the trip to NYC, the group will play the famed 9:30 Club on April 14 with Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven set to open. Later in the tour, The Motet heads to the Pacific Northwest before ending the month with a pair of late nights in New Orleans during Jazz Fest including a Mixtape 1979 performance at The Howlin Wolf on the 28th.
