Eric Krasno Band & Marcus King Band Honor Butch Trucks In New York City

On Saturday night the came together with The Marcus King Band to play the Gramercy Theater in New York City. Both groups played Allman Brothers Band covers to honor drummer Butch Trucks who tragically died a few days earlier.

The Eric Krasno Band performed a take on the Allmans’ classic “Whipping Post” featuring MKB members Marcus King, JJ Dean Mitchell and Matthew Jennings. Watch video of the lengthy cover captured by Eric Gettler Photography:

King and his band had a Butch tribute of their own to play as they welcomed Krasno for a cover of “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed.” Here’s video of “Liz Reed” split into two parts captured by Rock, Roots & Blues Live:
