The Big Ass Stadium Tour rolled into Detroit’s Ford Field on Sunday night featuring performances by Post Malone, Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell. Detroit native rapper Eminem was brought out during Jelly Roll’s set and performed his anthemic “Lose Yourself.”
Eminem was not the only guest rapper to make an appearance onstage at Ford Field last night. Posty’s headlining set featured the emergence of Dallas-based rapper BigXthaPlug for a collaborative take on his song, “Texas.” Jelly Roll also joined Post Malone for his usual sit-in on “Losers.”
Eminem’s surprise spot came near the end of Jelly Roll’s set. After delivering the first verses of “Lose Yourself,” Jelly Roll primed the arrival of his special guest.
“This is fucking Detroit!,” Jelly said. “You better sing this as loud as you can!”
Eminem then took the stage to a roar from the crowd, who then rapped along with the local icon.
“Detroit, I fucking love you!,” Eminem yelled at the end of the performance. “Make some god damn noise. Long time no see.”
The Big Ass Stadium Tour heads to Minneapolis tomorrow (Tuesday, May 20). Watch the Motor City Eminem collaboration with Jelly Roll below:
