Eggy recently welcomed Dopapod drummer Neal Evans for a cover of the Phil Collins classic “Sussudio” at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont. The Connecticut-based jam act shared pro-shot video featuring “Sussudio” from February 5 on their YouTube channel.
February 5 was the penultimate night for Dopapod’s winter tour featuring support from Eggy. Both bands will join forces once again in March, when Eggy opens for Dopapod in Colorado. The run starts in Boulder on March 2 and also includes stops in Fort Collins on March 3, Frisco on March 4 and Steamboat Springs on March 5.

Eggy consists of guitarist Jake Brownstein, keyboardist Dani Battat, drummer Alex Bailey and bassist Michael Goodman. The band’s debut Phil Collins cover came towards the end of their set. Bailey vacated his spot behind the kit and handled lead vocals on “Sussudio,” while Neal “Fro” Evans played drums. “Fro” and Eggy extended the song Phil Collins released as the opening track on his 1985 solo album No Jacket Required to include a Brownstein-powered guitar solo. Alex played percussion during the jam before returning to centerstage to end Eggy’s debut “Sussudio” cover.
