Edie Brickell Shares ‘Sing To Me, Willie’ Single Featuring Willie Nelson

Edie Brickell shared a new single, “Sing To Me, Willie,” to celebrate Willie Nelson‘s 87th birthday today (April 29). Willie and Edie duet on the song which will benefit MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Born and raised in Texas, Brickell recorded the tribute track at Arlyn Studios in Austin with members of her band The New Bohemians including John Bush on percussion, Brad Houser on bass and Kenny Withrow on electric guitar along with special guest musicians Kyle Crusham on acoustic guitar and Matt Hubbard on keyboards. Brickell detailed the genesis of the song in a statement:
“On Christmas Day, 2018, Willie asked me to write a song for us to sing together. What a gift! My father and Texas are my biggest connections to Willie. I never hear his voice without loving memories of people and places back home. If only my dad could have heard this song.”
