As reported, Eddie Vedder spent Saturday making a number of appearances at the inaugural Ohana Festival, performing a solo set and collaborating with Elvis Costello, X, Kelly Slater, Band Of Horses and others. The Pearl Jam frontman was also on hand on Friday night for a pre-Ohana charity event where he performed and was joined by comedians Jeff Ross and Judd Apatow and others at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

The Ohana Luau event was hosted by Ross and benefited the non-profit San Onofre Foundation which works to preserve and protect the California State Parks at San Onofre and San Clemente State Beaches. John Doe of the band X was also on hand to perform and was joined by Vedder for a performance of “The Golden State.” After telling a story about his first surfing experience at a nearby beach, Eddie collaborated with Apatow on a performance of the song about late comedian Garry Shandling that the pair debuted at Bonnaroo earlier this year. Ross also got into the action, playing acoustic guitar with Vedder on a rendition of The Who’s “Squeeze Box.”
