The Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, Illinois hosted the Chicagoland stop for Pete Townshend‘s Classic Quadrophenia tour on Wednesday night. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined Townshend, Billy Idol, Alfie Boe, the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and Chicago Children’s Choir for the benefit concert.
Townshend the massive ensemble worked through The Who’s famed 1973 rock opera Quadrophenia over the course of two sets. Vedder sang “The Punk & The Godfather” and “I’m One” during the first frame. The Pearl Jam frontman returned later for “Drowned” and took part in a raucous “The Real Me” encore.
Proceeds from the concert benefited Teen Cancer America.
