Eddie Vedder Guests With Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band In Seattle

Bruce Springsteen rekindled his bromance with Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder last night in Eddie’s hometown of Seattle. Springsteen & The E Street Band invited Vedder to join them for a song during The River Tour stop at Seattle’s Key Arena.

As with each performance on the tour, Thursday night’s show began with The Boss and his band performing “Meet Me In The City” followed by a performance of the material from The River double album in its entirety. The New Jersey natives then filled out the rest of the set with eight career-spanning classics including a handful played in response to signs held by audience members. “I’m Goin’ Down” kicked off the post-River portion of the set which also featured the tour debut of “Adam Raised A Cain.”

Bruce brought out Eddie Vedder at the start of the encore and noted the wild reception the Pearl Jam singer garnered in his hometown. “I get booed in my hometown,” Springsteen joked before counting off the intro to Born In The U.S.A. track “Bobby Jean.” Eddie and Bruce shared vocals on the song, which marked Vedder’s first guest appearance with the group since February 15, 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. The Boss and the E Street Band ended the evening with “Born To Run,” “Dancing In The Dark,” “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight),” “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” and “Shout.” The River Tour continues on Monday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
