[UPDATED] Eaux Claires Announces 2017 Lineup

More details about this year’s Eaux Claires have been revealed. Mikael Jorgenson will debut a new project Quindar, “named for space ‘quindar’ sounds taken from NASA archives, electronically re-mixed for an intergalactic feel,” and Nels Cline and his partner Yuka Honda will perform as a duo part of a new ambient project called cup.
The event’s “Artist-in-Residence” program will include previous performers Sam Amidon, Phil Cook, Bryce Dessner, Jenny Lewis and The Staves, with Anaïs Mitchell also selected for this year’s event. In other news, the “Bon Iver Presents John Prine And The American Songbook” set will include John Prine himself as the band and their guest present a one-of-a-kind set of songs by Prine entitled “The American Songbook.”
Two-Day General Admission and Advance Two-Day Enhanced Chippewa Passes are available now.
The third annual Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival will be held at Foster Farm in Eau Claire, Wisconsin June 16 – 17. Curated by Eau Claire native and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner, the lineup of performers for this year’s installment has been revealed.
Wilco and Wilco side projects The Autumn Defense and Tweedy are on the lineup, and Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche will team with Bon Iver’s S. Carey for a set. The lineup also features Vernon and Dessner’s Big Red Machine project based on the song they recorded for the 2009 charity album Dark Was the Night, Chance The Rapper, Danny Brown, Feist, Sylvan Esso, Collections Of Colonies Of Bees and Francis And The Lights, among others.
The lineup includes billings for Bon Iver Presents John Prine And The American Songbook and legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon with yMusic. More information can be found at the event’s official website.
