Earth Wind & Fire Performs ‘Devotion’ For ‘Colbert’

Earth Wind and Fire assembled remotely to record a video shared as part of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome series. The legendary band performed their 1974 hit “Devotion.”

“Devotion” was penned by Maurice White and Philip Bailey for inclusion on Earth, Wind & Fire’s 1974 studio album, Open Our Eyes. The video starts with footage of longtime members Bailey, bassist Verdine White and drummer Ralph Johnson recording their parts in separate locations due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
