Eagles Linebacker Connor Barwin Reps Phish In ESPN Feature

Before yesterday’s Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers, ESPN aired a feature on Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin. Within the piece, we’re shown a couple of photos of Barwin in which he’s wearing a Phish t-shirt and later we see that he put together a benefit concert featuring Kurt Vile which raised $85,000 to rebuild a playground in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia (Barwin matched the $85,000).

Last night wasn’t the first time we realized Barwin is a Phish fan as he attended the band’s Summer 2013 performance at Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York. You may recall it was raining heavily that night, so props to Connor for still making it into the venue that night.

Connor Barwin isn’t only a good football player, he also seems like a great guy who is all about helping his community. We highly recommend watching the feature. And look out for Barwin at the next off-season Phish show!
