The long-awaited Chad Smith/Will Ferrell Drum Off finally went down on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer was on hand to raise funds for Little Kids Rock, while Ferrell was drumming for Cancer For College. As a refresher, this all started back in February when actor Will Ferrell crashed Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith’s Ask Me Anything session on Reddit to accept Smith’s offer to engage in a drum battle. Ferrell gave the caveat that he’d accept if they could raise $300,000 for College For Cancer and that goal was quickly reached after the actor launched a fund-raising effort.

As a special bonus, Smith was joined by his Red Hot Chili Peppers band mates and The Roots for a performance of Funkadelic’s “Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On” and “Give It Away”:
