U2 finally appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night after their week-long visit to the show in November was scrapped following Bono’s bike accident in Central Park. The Irish rockers made their appearance count as the episode was filled with U2 including our look at what happened when the band busked at a NYC subway station.

Fallon and U2 donned disguises last week, when they setup at a subway platform beneath Grand Central Station. At first not many recognized the band as they started up “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” Jimmy then took off his makeup as U2 powered through “Desire” to the now clued in audience.

The episode started with Bono and Jimmy recreating the bike ride that left the singer injured and forced the delay of U2’s tour and Fallon appearance:

There was also musical performances as U2 played three songs: “Beautiful Day,” “Song For Someone” and “Angel Of Harlem,” the latter with The Roots:

[Beautiful Day]
