DVR Rewind | John Fogerty On Letterman

By Andy Kahn Apr 30, 2015 9:00 am PDT

Last night on the Late Show with David Letterman, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame member John Fogerty filled the guest musician slot with a medley of some of his classic songs. Backed by a band that included well-traveled drummer Kenny Aronoff, Fogerty lead the group through brief takes on three iconic Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.

In what’s likely his final appearance on the program before Letterman retires on May 20, Fogerty ripped through a spirited medley that included “Travelin’ Band,” “Proud Mary” and “Fortunate Son.” Watch the 69-year-old rocker’s appearance below and listen for a slight lyric change during “Proud Mary” in tribute to Dave.

Fogerty brings his “1969” tour to the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tennessee this Saturday, May 2.
