DVR Rewind | Foo Fighters Play Letterman Finale

David Letterman hosted the Late Show on CBS for the final time last night. After 33 years as host of Late Night and the Late Show, Letterman’s finale featured Dave reminiscing with clips from throughout the shows’ history. Other than a star-studded final Top 10 List reading, the only guests booked for the last show were Dave’s favorite band: Foo Fighters.



Before handing the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater over to Dave Grohl and crew, Letterman spent time thanking many of the people that were influential in creating the successful late night talk show. Then, dressed in tuxedos, Foo Fighters played “Everlong” –the same song Letterman requested they play at his first show back following open heart surgery in 2000 -as the show’s final musical guests.
