On Monday, Foo Fighters delivered their first of five appearances on this week’s episodes of The Late Show With David Letterman. Coming into the week we knew that the band would be joined by special guests each night to perform songs that inspired the creation of the new Foos LP, Sonic Highways.

Foo Fighters were joined by Zac Brown on Monday’s episode for a sizzling take on the Black Sabbath classic “War Pigs.” Watch how it went down:

In other Foo Fighters news, the band has just announced a Friday night show at the tiny Cubby Bear in Chicago that will also serve as a premiere party for the HBO series Sonic Highways. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m.. The Foos’ performance will air live on Facebook after the episode airs. Expect the band to come on around 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday night.
