If you’re a music lover, and even if you’re not a big Foo Fighters fan, we highly recommend watching the HBO series Sonic Highways. For those unfamiliar, the show documents the making of Foo Fighters’ recently-released album of the same name, which was recorded in eight different cities. Each episode dives into the musical history of the city where Foos were recording and tonight comes the installment we’ve been waiting for since the show began -New Orleans.

This evening’s episode features JamBase favorites Cyril Neville, Trombone Shorty and Preservation Hall Jazz Band and we look forward to seeing how Dave Grohl documents the rich musical history of the Crescent City. We’ll also get to see Foo Fighters participate in a Second Line parade and perform at Preservation Hall (the venue). Sonic Highways airs at 11 p.m. this evening on HBO. Grohl and Co. will perform at the New Orleans House Of Blues following tonight’s premiere.
