Duane Betts Guests With Warren Haynes At Christmas Jam

One of the many highlights of this year’s Christmas Jam took place during host Warren Haynes’ closing set, when he welcomed guitarist Duane Betts to join the Ashes & Dust Band on one of his father Dickey’s signature songs – “Blue Sky” at Asheville’s US Cellular Center.

Duane is currently touring as a member of Dawes and it was fitting he sat-in for “Blue Sky” on the occasion of his father’s birthday. Warren has been performing “Blue Sky” all year, first with Railroad Earth and then with his Ashes & Dust Band. While the versions feature acoustic instruments, they still contained plenty of fretboard fireworks from Haynes.
