Drummer Says Faces Reunion Still On For 2015

Those holding out hope for a reunion of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame act Faces thought hope was lost after keyboardist Ian McLagan died in December. However drummer Kenney Jones thinks a reunion of the British rockers is “more important now than ever” and claims a reunion will still take place in 2015.

As Ultimate Classic Rock points out, Jones discussed a potential Faces reunion during a chat about McLagan with The Austin Chronicle. “Rod (Stewart), (Ron Wood) Woody, and me are still going to do the Faces this year. It’s more important now than ever,” said Jones. “When we do, we’ll have the bartender onstage again. And a coffee machine for Woody,” added the drummer who made an allowance for Ron Wood’s sobriety in bringing up the coffee machine. “There’s got to be a heavy dose of humor in everything we do,” said Wood about a Faces reunion. “Mac epitomized the funny side of things, even in the most dire conditions.”

The Faces were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012, where Wood, McLagan and Jones -augmented by Rod Stewart bassist Conrad Korsch and Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall -performed. Original Faces bassist Ronnie Lane died in 1997. Way back in 2013 Stewart mentioned both he and Wood had earmarked 2015 for a Faces reunion.
