Drive-By Truckers Perform Live At KEXP

Established rockers Drive-By Truckers have been touring in support of the release of their politically provocative studio LP American Band. The group recently stopped by Seattle-based independent radio station KEXP and performed four of the songs featured on the new record.
Guitarist Mike Cooley starts the set by singing lead on the American Band cut “Ramon Casiano.” Fellow guitarist Patterson Hood can then be seen leading the ensemble on “Ever South.” Host Greg Vandy then interviews the band for a few minutes ahead of Hood taking them through the emotionally charged single “What It Means.”
A bit more chatting with Vandy comes before Cooley closes the set by singing “Once They Banned Imagine.” Watch the performance and interview below:
