NEW ALBUM OUT APRIL 25 IN EUROPE AND MAY 3 IN THE U.S.

Chuckles And Mr. Squeezy
Alternative rockers Dredg are now happy to announce the release of their fifth studio album, Chuckles And Mr. Squeezy, on April 25 in Europe and on May 3 in the U.S. The album was produced by Dan The Automator (Dr. Octagon, Deltron 3030, Gorillaz, Kasabian). Tour dates for 2011 will be announced soon.

It took the band members almost eight months of exchanging song-material via e-mail to finish the album – a process Dan The Automator was also involved in right from the early beginnings. His influence becomes most apparent in the songs “The Tent,” “Sun Goes Down” and “Before it Began” where he also took an active part in the songwriting. Singer Gavin Hayes sums up the general sound of the new album as “Dark Pop.”

“There is a certain darkness to it,” Gavin says. “A lot of our music is ultimately positive but can be conceived as sad as well. It has these two sides that oppose each other, but manage to reconcile in the music.”
