Supergroup Dragon Smoke will embark on a brief tour this December. In what has become a yearly tradition, the band will focus on the western portion of the U.S. for their annual run before heading to their hometown of New Orleans.

Dragon Smoke features Galactic drummer Stanton Moore and bassist Robert Mercurio plus legendary keyboardist Ivan Neville and singer-songwriter Eric Lindell. The tour is currently slated to start at The Mint in Los Angeles on December 3. Additional dates in California include a visit to Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael on December 4 and a performance at The Independent in San Francisco on December 6.

On December 7, Dragon Smoke will play Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver with support from Big Sam’s Funky Nation. There’s also a performance slated for Tipitina’s in New Orleans on December 14. Moore and Mercurio are co-owners of the club with the rest of their Galactic band mates.
