Dr. Dre posted a note on his Instagram account stating he is “doing great” and “getting excellent care” from his medical team. See the full text of his statement below:
Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!
Hip-hip icon and music mogul Dr. Dre has been hospitalized after suffering a brain aneursym as per a TMZ report. Sources told TMZ Dr. Dre, the nom de plume of Andre Young, was taken by ambulance to the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles yesterday.
TMZ’s sources note the 55-year-old Dr. Dre is “stable and lucid, but doctors don’t know what caused the bleeding and they are doing a battery of tests.” As such, the N.W.A. co-founder and Beats Electronics co-founder remains in the ICU.
