Dopapod will end the current chapter of the band’s history and 2024 with a five-night New Year’s Run. Before beginning an indefinite hiatus, the quartet will perform at “some of [their] favorite places to play.”
“These nights will be very special and bittersweet, so don’t miss your last chance to celebrate the music and the beginning of a new orbit with us,” Dopapod wrote of the three-city excursion. The run will end at a venue the band considers a second home: Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, Ohio.

Dopapod will kick off the celebratory run with a two-night stand at Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 27 and 28. The band will then head to Cleveland on December 29 for a show at Beachland Ballroom. Finally, Woodlands Tavern hosts Dopapod on December 30 and 31 (New Year’s Eve).
Tickets for all five shows go on sale this Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. ET.

Dopapod — guitarist Rob Compa, keyboardist Eli Winderman, bassist Chuck Jones and drummer Neal “Fro” Evans — previously took an extended hiatus at the end of 2017 that lasted through April of 2019. The band announced in June they “will no longer be touring, recording, or writing for the foreseeable future” beginning in 2025.
An extensive fall tour leads into the New Year’s Run and upcoming sabbatical. The Best Friends Tour begins in St. Louis on October 22 and continues through December 8.
