Dopapod took 2018 off but will soon return to the stage. The quartet will play The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on April 27.

Guitarist Rob Compa, bassist Chuck Jones, keyboardist Eli Winderman and drummer Neal “Fro” Evans‘ upcoming show at The Cap marks the band’s debut at the legendary venue. “There is so much history at The Cap and it’s truly an honor to be a part of that,” said Winderman in a statement. “We’re looking forward to doing our thing there and it just felt like the perfect venue to bring the band back.” So far, this is the band’s only performance planned.

“This last year was much needed for all of us,” added Winderman. “We all were able to explore other musical avenues in our lives and it really helped inspire everyone.” Compa kept busy with solo shows and performances with Barika. Winderman worked on Octave Cat’s new album, hosted a weekly funk show in Philadelphia and performed with Octave Cat. Evans and Jones focused on their Mom & Dad project. Tickets for Dopapod’s return go on sale this Friday, January 25 at 12 p.m. ET here. A pre-sale starts today using the code “Dopafam” at 12 p.m. ET.
