Electro-funk act Doom Flamingo shared the new single “Happy Boi.” The catchy track came along with a video directed by Paul Chelmis starring bassist Ryan Stasik.

Stasik is joined in Doom Flamingo by frontwoman Kanika Moore, saxophonist Mike Quinn, guitarist Thomas Kenney, keyboardist Ross Bogan and drummer Sean Bing. “Happy Boi” arrived one month on the heels of “Lux Noir,” the band’s first new music of 2022.

Matt Zutell (Hootie And The Blowfish) recorded and mixed “Happy Boi,” which was tracked at Coast Records in the band’s hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. Doom Flamingo kicks off their summer tour tomorrow (Friday, June 24) with a late night concert at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

“’Happy Boi’ is written for adults still content in their youth,” noted Kanika Moore in a press release. The video was filmed in Charleston and includes appearances from Stasik’s bandmates as well as cameos featuring the musicians’ children and relatives.
