Dolly Parton Sings ‘Bury Me Beneath The Willow’ & Brings Stephen Colbert To Tears

Dolly Parton appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday. The iconic artist sang “Bury Me Beneath The Willow” a cappella and brought Stephen Colbert to tears.

A number of musicians have recorded the song over the years including the Carter Family, Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice among others. Dolly sang the song to Colbert and brought the host to tears with Stephen remarking, “like a lot of Americans I’m under a lot of stress right now.” Dolly also joked, “I better hush before you cry yourself to death.”
