Dirty Projectors Release ‘Overlord’ Video

Dirty Projectors shared the video for new single “Overlord.” The track follows on the heels of Dirty Projectors’ 2019 live in-studio album Sing The Melody and the 2018 LP Lamp Lit Prose.

“Overlord” features guitarist Maia Friedman — who co-wrote the lyrics with Dirty Projector’s mastermind Dave Longstreth — on lead vocals. The song also contains backing vocals form Felicia Douglass and Kristin Slipp as well as upright bass from Nat Baldwin, drums from Mike Johnson and congas from Mauro Refosco.

Longstreth directed the video for “Overlord,” which stars Friedman. Watch it below:
