In just about six weeks, Allman Brothers Band co-founding guitarist Dickey Betts will take the stage in Macon, Georgia to begin a comeback. Betts last performed publicly in 2014. Ever since Dickey announced his comeback, fans have only been privy to one member of the band that will back him – guitarist Duane Betts. Today, the rest of the band has been confirmed.

The news was revealed by Dickey Betts to the Herald-Tribune. Dickey will be joined by his son Duane Betts on guitar, drummers Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri as well as bassist Pedro Arevalo, guitarist Damon Fowler and keyboardist Mike Kach.

Damon Fowler and Steve Camilleri are the only two musicians in the lineup who weren’t longtime members of Dickey Betts’ Great Southern in the years leading up to the guitarist’s retirement. Fowler, who counts slide and lap steel playing among his skills, is best known for his tenure as part of Butch Trucks & The Freight Train Band. Camilleri has performed with most of his new band mates in the past.

Up first for Dickey Betts and his new lineup is a May 17th performance in Macon.
