Dickey Betts Adds Shows To Comeback Tour

Next month, guitarist Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band returns to the stage for the first time since 2014. Today, Betts confirmed a handful of tour dates including an appearance at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, where he’s performed dozens of times in the past.

Up first for Dickey Betts is a pair of previously announced shows in May. The guitarist will begin his comeback at the Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Georgia on May 17 and then plays Sunset Cove in Boca Raton, Florida on May 19. A series of July dates start with a headlining set on the final day of this year’s Great South Bay Music Festival on Sunday, July 15. Then, Betts and his band play the Beacon Theatre on July 18. From there, Dickey brings his ensemble to The Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut on July 20 and the St. George Theatre in Staten Island on July 21 ahead of an appearance at the Peach Music Festival in Scranton on July 22.

Dickey’s band for the tour will consist of his son Duane Betts on guitar, drummers Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri as well as bassist Pedro Arevalo, guitarist Damon Fowler and keyboardist Mike Kach. Look for additional dates to be announced soon.
