Gov’t Mule was supposed to open for Gregg Allman tonight at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia. However, the band was thrust into the headlining slot when Gregg Allman pulled out of the show and a coming Melbourne date due to a wrist injury. Mule made the most of the opportunity by delivering an extended set that featured guest appearances from Devon Allman and Luther Dickinson.

The guest parade started at the end of Mule’s two-hour-and-twenty minute performance. Devon Allman came out for the first encore -a cover of Neil Young’s “Southern Man.” For the second encore, Gov’t Mule was joined by Dickinson for both “32/20 Blues” and “Gonna Send You Back To Georgia.” Warren Haynes and Co. conclude their brief trip to Australia on Wednesday night in Melbourne.

Set: No Reward, Mule, Soulshine, Whisper In Your Soul, Birth Of The Mule, Broke Down On The Brazos, Lay Your Burden Down, Rocking Horse, Thorazine Shuffle, If Heartaches Were Nickels, No Need To Suffer, I’m A Ram
