Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Join Buddy Guy In Chicago

Last night blues icon Buddy Guy teamed with PCa Blue for a special concert in memory of his brother Phil Guy and to raise awareness about prostate cancer. The performance at Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago featured a surprise sit-in by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks.

Just before welcoming the the wife and husband duo who were in the Windy City for a trio of Tedeschi Trucks Band shows at the Chicago Theatre, Buddy warned the audience, “We’re gonna jam the fuck out of you tonight.” The longtime friends had fun with Muddy Waters’ “She’s Nineteen Years Old” and “That Same Thing” with Tedeschi on vocals – liberally ad-libbing – and Trucks adding guitar. The jam also involved guitarist Earl Slick.
