Derek Smalls Announces Lineup For West Coast Tour 2019

Spinal Tap bassist Derek Smalls (actor Harry Shearer) will embark on a West Coast tour this November that includes dates in Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver and San Francisco. Smalls will be joined by an all-star lineup featuring some musicians performing in person and others “live on satellite.”

Derek will perform live with Toto guitarist Steve Luthaker, axeslinger Dweezil Zappa and legendary session guitarist Waddy Wachtel at each date. In addition, Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen, the Snarky Puppy Horns, singer/comedian/actress Jane Lynch, stunt guitarist Steve Vai and the Hungarian Studio Orchestra will beam in live via satellite. Additional guests will be announced soon.

The tour starts at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on November 6. Smalls and company then play Seattle on November 9, Vancouver on November 11 and San Francisco on November 14. A world tour will follow in 2020. “Playing live with a symphony orchestra and some of the greats in rock music was never anything I could even hope to dream of. But I can now!” said Derek Smalls in a statement.
