Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio shared a new single, “Don’t Worry ‘Bout What I Do.” The song will appear on the Seattle-based funk and soul trio’s upcoming album, Cold As Weiss, due out via Colemine Records on February 11.

DLO3 announced Cold As Weiss, the group’s first album with drummer Dan Weiss, in December and also released the single, “Pull Your Pants Up,” inspired by guitarist Jimmy James. Like its predecessor, the latest single, “Don’t Worry ‘Bout What I Do,” also drew inspiration from the DLO3 guitarist.

“‘Don’t Worry ‘Bout What I Do’ is a famous quote by the great guitarist Jimmy James,” bandleader Delvon Lamarr revealed in a press release. “No matter what you say to this cat: ‘Yo bro your butt crack is showing,’ he always says the same thing: ‘Man… don’t worry ‘bout what I do.’”

There are no worries about what Jimmy James does on the new track, which sees the guitarist providing biting riffage and a smoking extended solo over Lamarr’s percolating organ and Weiss’s pocket groove. Listen to “Don’t Worry ‘Bout What I Do” below:
