Delicate Steve (Steve Marion) released the new single “Looking Glass” along with a video directed by Eleanor Petry. The track is featured on the guitarist’s upcoming studio album, After Hours.

The 10-track After Hours is due out via ANTI- Records on July 8. Marion went with a straightforward guitar approach after experimenting with electronics and sonic manipulation on his 2019 LP, Til I Burn Up. Steve wrote and recorded the material on After Hours entirely on a 1966 Fender Stratocaster.

Marion, who self-produced After Hours, wrote the following about “Looking Glass”:

“This song is about looking back at what it was like to be young and free and in a band with your friends, traveling around and playing music without care, meeting people, seeing the world. The song–the chords and music–just poured out of me without much effort in the studio, but the melody took a while and it was very hard to find what the song was trying to say. But I knew I had it when all of the notes were in the right places, and the song’s title came at that exact same time.”
