The Bluegrass Situation shared a video of Del McCoury Band performing “Christmas Time’s A Comin.” The song is a holiday bluegrass standard first recorded by Bill Monroe in 1951.
Penned by fiddler and Monroe collaborator Benjamin “Tex” Logan, “Christmas Time’s A Comin’” has been covered often throughout the decades including versions by Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Peter Rowan and many more. Billy Strings recently welcomed a trio of Scottish fiddlers to perform the song at his European tour closer in Glasgow.
