Deftones announced a new album, Ohms, set for release on September 25 via Warner Records. The renowned hard rockers also shared the LP’s title track.
Ohms marks Deftones’ first album in four years since 2016’s Gore. The band — vocalist/ guitarist Chino Moreno, keyboardist/turntablist Frank Delgado, lead guitarist Stephen Carpenter, drummer Abe Cunningham and bassist Sergio Vega — tapped longtime collaborator Terry Date, who worked on the band’s early albums, to produce Ohms, recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles and Trainwreck Studios in Woodinville, Washington. The result is “10 tracks of raw escapism and unparalleled grooves that have made Deftones’ sound singular for over two decades,” as per a statement.
