Deer Tick Announces Two New Studio Albums

Providence-based rockers Deer Tick has announced the upcoming release of a pair of new studio albums. Partisan Records will issue Deer Tick Vol. 1 and Deer Tick Vol. 2 on September 15.

Deer Tick’s first new music to be issued in four years was recorded in Memphis at the renowned Ardent Studios. According to a press release, “The two albums complement each other yet reflect completely contrasting styles, both of which accurately represent the two distinctive musical personalities of Deer Tick — quiet and thoughtful / loud and raucous.” The first installment, Vol. 1, “showcases the folk-driven, roots/rock style with the right amount of grit, that Deer Tick is known for,” while on Vol. 2, “ the band turns it up and lets it fly with an injection of punk-inspired garage rock at its finest.”
