Dead Sessions Welcomes Dave Grippo At Higher Ground


Grateful Dead tribute act Dead Sessions returned to Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont on Friday night. The band performed before a capacity crowd and welcomed saxophonist Dave “The Truth” Grippo for a portion of their second set.

Dead Sessions’ Friday night lineup featured Toby Kniffin, Seth Yacovone, Sheila Metcalf, Pat May, Trevor Ainsworth and Kevin Shapiro. Grippo emerged at the beginning of the second set following an introduction from the venue’s owner Kevin Statesir to add to “Keep On Growing,” “Eyes Of The World,” “Truckin'” and “Uncle John’s Band.”

The band will play pre and post Phish shows at NYC’s American Beauty on December 29.
