Dead & Company canceled the first two shows of their upcoming fall tour. Dates in the Florida cities of West Palm Beach on October 6 and Tampa on October 7 have been axed “due to routing and production logistics” according to a note from the sextet.

The band featuring Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge will now begin the excursion at Charlotte’s PNC Music Pavilion on October 11. Dead & Company’s West Palm Beach play was supposed to take place at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, while the Tampa performance was slated for MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds.

“Dead & Company is looking forward to performing in West Palm Beach and Tampa in the future,” reads part of the message sent by the band’s representative. Refunds will be processed automatically via the point of purchase. Both concerts were sold out.
